Why I'm not aspiring to have a 7 figure business

EPISODE 4

Notes

We’re often sold the narrative that generating 7 figures will open up a whole new world. That life will be better somehow and we’ll finally feel like we’ve ‘made it’.

But guess what? Once you’ve reached 7 figures… you’ll want to reach multi-7 figures and so on. As business owners, we just set our sights on the next target and keep working. But will life really be that much better?

In today’s episode, I’m sharing with you why I’m NOT aspiring to have a 7 figure business - not now and not any time soon. A 7 figure business is one that generates one million dollars or more in revenue or sales per year. In my bookkeeping business, I would need to employ 8 staff and spend enormous amounts of time managing my team, reviewing work and running my business to reach that amount.

I don’t want that.

It can be mentally toxic to become obsessed with making 7 figures. You can lose sight of your ‘why’ - the reasons you started your own business in the first place. It’s my aim to grow my business in a sustainable way, have more fun and enjoy my family and life.
